Lucy and Company is located at 1009 East Boulevard in Charlotte. North Carolina.  We are a full service design firm focusing on kid’s rooms as well as all parts of your home.

What makes us unique in our designs is the ability of offer one-of-a-kind paint finishes.  We incorporate custom artwork for your walls in the form of hand painted wall treatments, furniture and artwork.

Ashley Goodwin, Designer - Photographer

Ashley joined the firm in 2008.  With a degree from the Art Institute, she brings with her great style and organization and has developed her own unique twist on the lucy and company look.    Ashley’s attention to detail is evident in all the rooms she designs and she strives to create one of a kind spaces rather than cookie-cutter looks.  Being a professional photographer, she has a very unique and critical eye, and most importantly an artistic eye.  You will get something special when you work with Ashley.   She has been recently published in Charlotte Urban Home Magazine for her design work for the Savage Family  and  has has  been featured in Apartment Therapy on line and on the cover of ALIVE Magazine in Minneapolis, MN and has a new web site at www.ashleystuartgoodwin.com . 

Beth Keim, Owner- Designer

I opened lucy and company in a small shop located in the trendy Plaza Midwood neighborhood in 2001.  The shop focused on hand painting furniture and walls, as that was my background.  My husband, Keith was  my partner and as the business grew, he took over the painting side and I focused on design incorporating furnishings of all  kinds.   Within a few years, we need a bigger space, and in 2006 we moved to the design area of Dilworth in Charlotte on East Boulevard.  Our much bigger space is a showroom of color, design and furnishings focusing on Kids !  What I think makes us stand out is the incorporation of painted finishes.  Keith and his artists work with us to incorporate one-of-a-kind wall treatments to compliment the fabrics, rugs and furnishings we choose.  Our style is flexible, however, we do love the more bold, graphic textures and colors apparent in many of the rooms we have shown on this site.  We love to hand paint the pattern in the fabrics on the walls and furniture, repeating elements.  Kid’s love color, and we aim to please. 

One of our most favorite things to do is the “surprise nursery!”  If you don’t want to know the sex of your baby. . . but don’t want a gender neutral room, we find out!  We pull ideas for both a boy and girl room, show you both, then send you on your way. . . .  When we receive that “going to the hospital” call we come in - paint and install everything you have pre-chosen!  We even go the extra mile and help put all those baby things away for you.  You leave with a blank slate and come home from the hospital to a completely adorable, fun and done room.  It doesn’t get any better than that!

Lindsay joined the firm in 2010.  A recent graduate from the Art Institute, she joins the firm to assist in all the day to day details to help in coordinating our design projects
